The property is a picturesque 110 square metres cottage, just restored to offer comfortable and warm hospitality, formed from part of XV Century small fortified Castle , which lies in a very good and strategic position between Lucca and Pistoia, in the hills to the north of Pescia and Montecatini, in "Pesciatina Switzerland" so called for its woods and little nice medieval villages all around.
The village has a bar/pizzeria selling also few basic foodstuffs.
easy distance driving and you are in the main sightseeing towns: Florence 50 minutes, Pisa 30 minutes, Lucca 30 minutes, Siena and Arezzo 1 hour 15/20.
It is also a wonderful place to stay, (six hundred metres above sea level) with the opportunity of nice walks in the surrounding woodland,horseback riding, fishing, playing golf, playing tennis or lazing on the beach of Viareggio sea (40 minutes driving). You can spend a relaxing holiday, living a piece of history, with all the conforts and amazing views.

The Elf cottage is reached from a delightful 200 sq metres stone terrace which has outstanding views to three medieval villages, in past guard and protected from the guards who lives in the manor, and on the surrounding woodland. From the entrance in the right side, there is an original sitting-room with a big fireplace tuscan old style, terracotta floor and stone walls, a confortable sofa/bed, satellite TV, dvd.
The adjacent Kitchen is in country-style (there are gas hob, electric oven, fridge/freezer, toaster, beamed ceiling )

Through the old stone stairs leads on the first floor where are two big doubel bedrooms, both furnished in old style and some personal touch.
The huge bathroom, 12 sq metres is located between the two bedrooms, making indipendent the access, with stone floors, and a marble mosaic in the middle, with a 1800 french bath in a corner, and a shower in the opposite, basin, bidet and wc, from the window
is possible to look the garden side.

Furnishings throughout are tastefully rustic with additional antique pieces. Central heating when necessary is incuded in the price
The Elf is a wonderful place where spend your vacation for a couple
in a really romantic setting or to stay confortable for a family of 4/5 people.

It is also The Elf cottage has his own patio and bbq, seats and and a stone table to use beeing outside on the terrace and in the fenced park (3000 square m.), private garden features and a small above ground pool (7mx4m).

wine from the zone, a bowl of seasonal fruit and breakfast on your first morning
